What we collect
We collect the email address and display name you provide when you create an account, and the household information you choose to enter: household name, members, calendar events, chores, meal plans, grocery lists, document metadata and any files you upload to the document vault.
How your data is protected
All household information requires a signed-in account. Access is enforced in the database itself with row-level security, so a signed-in person can only read or change data belonging to a household they are a member of. Uploaded documents are stored in a private bucket, separated per household, and are never publicly accessible — files can only be retrieved by members of the owning household. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How we use it
Your data is used only to operate the service: showing your household its own calendar, chores, meals, groceries and documents, and sending the reminders you enable. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your household content for advertising.
Sharing
Household content is visible to the members of your household. We share data with service providers only as needed to host and run the product (hosting, database, authentication and email delivery), and when required by law.
Your choices
You can update your household details at any time, remove members, delete individual events, chores, meals, grocery items and documents, and permanently delete your account from Settings. Deleting your account removes your profile, the households you own, all of their content, and every document you uploaded.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed from live systems immediately and from routine backups within 30 days.
